Empowered by the grace of Jesus Christ, Catholic Charities of East Tennessee (CCETN) fosters human dignity of the vulnerable in our region through shelter, counseling, education, advocacy, and reverence for life.
CCETN provides services to anyone with demonstrated need, regardless of race, income or religion; fewer than 5 percent of all clients served are Catholic.
Catholic Charities of East Tennessee is hoping to raise $10,000 to purchase new furnishings for bedrooms as part of our expansion efforts at Samaritan Place.
Samaritan Place is a shelter program for homeless senior citizens that provides emergency, transitional and permanent housing and case management. As one of only 8 shelters of its kind in the country, Samaritan Place operates with an understandably lengthy waiting list.
CCETN recently moved our administrative offices out of Samaritan Place to another location, and as a result, now have room for 10 new residents - but we have $10,000 worth of furniture and furnishing needs to make these bare rooms feel like home.
