The Diocesan Office of Adult Formation exists to serve church parishes and their adult parishioners in providing support and resources for human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation.
As the Office of Adult Formation begins its new existence through our Diocesan Strategic Planning efforts, its current primary focus is centered on providing quality adult formation resources for all parishioners throughout the diocese. Our first resource was 'Why We Believe | Rediscover Your Faith', an 8-part study on answering some of the commonly asked questions about Catholicism. A second study will be released this Advent, entitled 'Why We Confess | Rediscover Mercy'. This resource is a 3-part study on the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We have plans for producing a number of more quality resources over the next number of years. The creation of these quality studies include the talents of many people, substantial resources, and good communication.
If what you've received thus far has helped you thus far, please consider supporting the sustainability of this great ongoing work.
We have estimated that about 1 out of every 4 people that are going to Mass on Sunday have engaged with the 'Why We Believe' study. That's about 6000 people around the diocese.
As we look forward to releasing 'Why We Confess' on the first Sunday of Advent, we have great hope that this study will help deepen people's understanding of Sacrament of Reconciliation possibly move people to go to the Sacrament before Christmas. Your support will help this project and future projects make a real difference in real people's lives... in OUR diocese... in OUR church parishes... in OUR families.
