St. Joseph the Worker School provides a quality Catholic education for children in early education through eighth grade. Our school focuses on the teachings of the Gospel while pursuing academic excellence. We are a positive, supportive and welcoming community that strives to develop faith, academics, values, and service to others. We work to establish a strong Catholic identity while developing the academic skills necessary to meet the demands of an ever-changing and diverse world. Our mission is to encourage our students to develop Catholic values and critical thinking skills needed for the 21st century.
St. Joseph the Worker School wants students to have the opportunity to succeed in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
• Project based learning activities
• Scientific method and analysis
• Problem solving and independent thinking
• Robotics, circuitry and mechanics
• Hands-on experiments that encourage
• Exploring the intersection of science and our Catholic faith
Although, we have implemented STEM activities in all grade levels, we are in need of the technology and materials to assist our students in reaching higher achievement levels. The STEM program tools and activities will benefit all students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The additional STEM activities would also address academic needs by evolving our existing STEM program into a broader, deeper, more sustainable 21st century learning environment that is equipped with much needed technology, tools, manipulatives and resources that the students do not currently have access to.
