We, the people of St. Michael in Vicksburg, Mississippi, as a baptized community of faith-filled disciples of our brother Jesus, recognize His mission and accept it as our own. Rejoicing in the diversity of individual gifts and talents, we believe that we are called to serve God and our fellow man in community. Created by our Father, redeemed by our Brother and gifted by the Holy Spirit, we value the human dignity of all people.
We commit to shared faith experiences as evidenced in prayer, sacraments, scripture study and the activities of our daily lives. We realize that through our Christian influence and involvement in community we can witness to the life of Christ and strengthen ourselves, our families, our parish and the world in which we live.
As stewards of our faith, it is through our lives as priest, prophet and king that the living Church serves as a witness to the Gospel Message.
Throughout the summer we have had ongoing issues with our heating and air conditioning systems particularly in the church and parish hall. A successful I Give Catholic campaign will allow us to fund the necessary repairs so that we can worship and build fellowship comfortably.
