The Good Shepherd Nativity Mission School (New Orleans)

  Endowment Funds Available
We seek to empower low-income, urban youth to realize their full potential by providing them with: Extended day, year-round education; academics integrated with personal, moral and spiritual development; guidance throughout their further education.
Shepherding Hope Capital Campaign: Since 2001 our little school has been changing the narrative for its students from one of poverty and struggle to one of achievement and success. Aptly named by our founder, Fr. Harry Tompson, the Good Shepherd School is much like a shepherd who carefully provides constant, vigilant guidance and direction. With the increasing demand for equitable education for all, now is the time to further sustain and expand the mission and model of education that the Good Shepherd School provides. We announce exciting plans to expand to a new larger site to shepherd more scholars towards hope. With the success of the Shepherding Hope Capital Campaign not only will be able to serve more children, but our students will have access to school amenities that should be a part of every child’s school experience—such as an age-appropriate play yard, a designated lunch area, gathering space, art room and technology center and more. The Good Shepherd students will be able to more readily thrive in this new school environment allowing them to surge ahead of the academic curve.
