#iGiveCatholic is an online giving event that provides our Catholic parishes, schools, ministries, and not-for-profits the opportunity to connect with their current donors and establish relationships with new donors.

It is also an opportunity for Catholics to affirm our faith as disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing our gifts out of love for God and one another.  The goal of #iGiveCatholic is to inspire the Catholic community to come together as faithful stewards and to "Give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving back.

Why is attending a training session required for new organizations?

The training sessions provide participating organizations with important information about how to register your ministry on the #iGiveCatholic website, how to promote #iGiveCatholic through your volunteers and social media, and how to thank and follow-up with donors afterwards.  You will also learn how to access your donation and donor information in real time via the #iGiveCatholic website.

When will my organization receive its donations?

You will receive all donations in a single disbursement check within 60 days of the giving day. All disbursements will be made by check from your arch/diocese.

Does my organization need to send letters to donors for their tax deduction?

No. After making a gift online, the donor will immediately receive an automatic email from #iGiveCatholic confirming the gift during the event. Note that all donations must be 100% tax deductible (no additional benefits). However, this tax deduction form is not a "thank you." By signing the required commitment form, you have agreed to acknowledge donations by following up with donors within seven working days and letting them know what you will do with their donation.  You may contact them in any way you’d like, including phone calls or social media “shout outs.”

Will my organization receive donor information for acknowledgements?

Yes. You will have access to donor information during the giving day via donor database link that will be updated in real time. The link for this MS Excel spreadsheet will be available in your self-service user interface located at https://givingday.kimbia.com/login. We require you to acknowledge donations by following up with donors within seven working days.
